The Short Version

Rogue Land & Cattle is a small family ranch website. We don't sell your data, we don't build profiles on you, and we don't have a marketing department. This page explains what information comes our way when you visit, and what we do with it.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: automatically through analytics tools, and directly when you fill out our contact form.

Automatically collected:When you visit the site, Google Analytics logs basic data like which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, what device and browser you used, and roughly where you're located (country/city level — not your street address). This helps us understand whether the site is actually useful.

Contact Form

When you send us a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you wrote. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share it with anyone.

Cookies

This site uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser. Here's what each one is for:

• Google Analytics cookies— track page visits and usage patterns so we can improve the site. These are anonymous and don't identify you personally.
• Google AdSense cookies — used to show relevant ads (more on that below). These are set by Google, not by us.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. The site will still work.

Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads on some pages. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your browsing history across different websites. This is handled entirely by Google — we don't know which ads you see or collect any data from it ourselves.

Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by their own privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google's Ad Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site. The data is aggregated and anonymous — we see things like “100 people visited the Wagyu page this week,” not who those people were. If you'd prefer to opt out entirely, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Your Rights

You have the right to know what data we have about you, request that we delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Since the only personal data we ever hold is what you send through the contact form, just email or call us and we'll take care of it.

If you're in California, you have additional rights under the CCPA. We don't sell personal information — period.

Data Security

Contact form submissions are transmitted securely. We don't store your information in a database — messages come to us by email, the same way any other business email would. We don't keep a list of everyone who has ever contacted us.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since we're a small ranch and not a tech company, major changes are unlikely.
