grew up on the big ranches in the Pacific Northwest and after a successful High School Rodeo career while attending Salmon High School in Salmon, Idaho it was on to “Cal Poly” or California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
College rodeo was very good to Don, he graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Agriculture Management, then he was off to Texas to work for Buster Welch & King Ranch.
Six years later he joined back up with his family on the ranch in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Here Don trained and showed cutting horses along with working on the ranch.
In 2009, it was back to Texas where he later meets Carrie.
Along with ranching, Don judges cutting horse competitions as a AAAA NCHA (National Cutting Horse Association) judge and an AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) special event judge.
